I just wanted to show you this beautiful Wisteria I pass on the way to my daughters house.
I'm so glad hubby told me about it and we dashed to take these photos.
We've had so much heavy rain this past week, I doubt if there's much blossom left
Enjoy your gardening.

Such beauty is always worth stopping for.
ReplyDeleteGosh! It looks like Louisiana and very Gone With The Wind!!
ReplyDeleteBarbara - so beautiful and I bet it smells heavenly as well. We do have some in our area blooming as well. I am too shady for mine to bloom well. Happy gardening to you as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your lovely photos of the wisteria, Barbara. The prettiest wisteria I ever say was at Chenonceau...the Chancellery was totally covered in beautiful lavender blossoms.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. I must tell you a little story. For years I planted wisteria only to watch it die. So I built a trellis and planted 6 (yes 6) plants of wisteria. They all grew. They grew and grew and grew. Beautiful flowers and the one day I heard a load crashing sound and I looked out to see my trellis on the ground. I think all the wisteria "KILLED" it. The poor trellis was strangled. That is my wisteria story. LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Barbara, This is such a beautiful Wisteria..... at first I thought it had grown into a tree and then I saw the support underneath. I have never seen anything like it. What a lovely Wisteria to drive past each day.
ReplyDeleteHere in the North of England, we are still waiting for the warmer weather to arrive. It is so very cold, we are still wearing hats, gloves, scarves and coats. We just keep getting the cold wind from the North, I wish I could send it back as I want to get into my garden.
Hopefully soon. Did you enjoy your holiday? It is always lovely to have a break away isn't it, but I always love it when I put the key in the door when I return home.
Enjoy your weekend.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Spectacular! I have a neighbor who had to take hers down after it toppled the supports. I guess they can be very hardy! So nice you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteThe Wisteria is gorgeous! I've tried twice to grow some but it never 'took' - your photos have inspired me to try again. My sister has a beautiful 10+ year old Wisteria plant that is draped over her patio eaves. I'm so jealous! -- Jan
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's absolutely beautiful Barbara! I don't have any nearby that I can see, but I've always loved Wisteria. I keep thinking I'll plant some one day when we get around to putting in an arbor, but then I read that they can take down a fence over time, they're so heavy and strong. Lucky you to get to see such a beauty!
